DR. TOBLER BIO

Dr. Bret Tobler, a Utah native, graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon in 1986 and has been practicing in Provo, close to BYU, since then. Early in his career, in response to patient needs, he sought advanced training in dental implants, orthodontics, and sedation dentistry. He has a strong drive to meet and exceed patient needs and provide his patients with the most advanced care and comfort available anywhere. Thousands of hours of advanced continuing education combined with over 20 years of experience enable him to offer comprehensive care including cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry (sleep) for both children and adults, surgical treatment including dental implants, wisdom teeth, extractions, gum and bone grafting; Orthodontic treatment including Invisalign; and general dental procedures including crowns, bridges, fillings, root canals, dentures etc. Dr. Tobler has two sons, Eric and Nathan, currently in dental school and is anxiously anticipating being able to practice with them. Eric will be joining the practice spring of 2007 and Nathan spring of 2008. To accommodate them, Dr. Tobler recently built a new, state of the art facility located just off I-15 exit 279 (Lehi Main Street exit). With a strong emphasis on sedation dentistry (sleep) for children and adults, Dr. Tobler and his highly competent and wonderful staff are proud to confidently and competently provide a wide range of services under one roof. We often combine wisdom tooth removal with needed fillings and/or root canals and crowns; extraction of teeth with dentures and/or implants; cosmetic makeovers with necessary restorative care; orthodontic treatment with surgical exposure of canines or replacement of missing teeth with implants; or complete all needed treatment on a small child or adult in need of extensive care. We are one of the first Utah offices to incorporate a I-CAT scanning unity to enhance the diagnostic capabilities that we are able to provide our patients. It is our privilege and desire to provide those who entrust their care to us with the very best dentistry available anywhere. The Lehi office, located just west of the new Lowe’s and Costco serves residents of Lehi, American Fork, Highland, Alpine, Pleasant Grove, Cedar Hills, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, and surrounding areas.

Humanitarian Service

In December of 2004, while serving as the president of the Academy of LDS Dentists, Dr. Tobler was approached by two Haitian natives in charge of a group named IASK (International Aid Serving Kids) who were interested in getting dentists to accompany them on humanitarian expeditions to Haiti and Dominican Republic. In June of 2005, Dr. Tobler and his son Nathan (dental student) joined a group of 20+ health related volunteers who traveled to Haiti to provide medical and dental care and health related education. Dr. Tobler was able to speak to the dental students at the dental school in Port-A-Prince and he and his team completed hundreds of extractions, fillings, and cleanings in the short time that they were there. The need was great and much good was accomplished. It was such a rewarding experience that he went with the same group in April of 2006 to the Dominican Republic with his son Eric (dental student) and daughter-in-law Ashley (dental Hygienist). Though the two countries are on the same island, and adjoin one another, they seem worlds apart politically and economically. Still, there were many in Dominican Republic who needed Dental care badly and it was a great privilege to be able to help out. Dr. Tobler’s son Eric returned again to Dominican Republic in September of 2006 on another IASK humanitarian expedition. Dr. Tobler continues to work closely with IASK to get dental volunteers for humanitarian expeditions and plans on returning as often as he can.
